Sunday in Fuengirola

Wintry today. Walked down to seafront to get the Sunday papers and then discovered tiny restaurant in Avenida Los Boliches which specialises in Lebanese and Brazilian food. Had moussaka and felafel wrap – both delicious. Will go there again and try the mezza (basically a selection of Arab “tapas”) and the Brazilian selection. Good value for money.

Other than that did nothing apart from watching the London Marathon and the snooker on the box.

Nice, lazy day!

Hi, It’ Saturday – flea market day in Fuengirola, so I went for a wander round as it’s a lovely, wRm, sunny day here. Didn’t see anything/anyone of interest. Indeed, it seemed rather quiet and subdued – will probably pick up as summer draws nearer. walked home, stpiing for mocha coffee at Cafe Fresco en route. Going to try and write a short story now but must admit that I have no idea of a plot at the mo. Any suggestions?

Never used WordPress before so this is all very new for me. There are a few new things in my life at the moment: have just moved from Marbella to Fuengirola; have just moved into an apartment, after living in a big house for several years; have just decided that it is time to take my writing more seriously and do some every day – not just on the rare occasions when an idea occurs to me.

I intend to write about Fuengirola in this blog (obvious from the name, really!) as it is full of interesting characters and places and now that I’m living here I should have plenty of time and opportunity to search them out.

So, watch this space.
